LAKE LEVELS 15/02/2020
EUCUMBENE..... 37%  STEADY
JINDABYNE...…. 75% FALLING

EUCUMBENE RIVER
Eucumbene river has had some good rain over the last two weeks and things are just getting better
Good reports still coming in from Denison , Kiandra , Sawyers, and below Providence Most dry’s are working well but go small
Red Tags, Royal Wulff’s, Adams, Nymphs, Caddis all size 16,14
Most rivers up that way are fishing well time to start exploring and enjoy.
Most important Catch and release is always a good thing.
 
 
THREDBO RIVER
Thredbo River again is starting to fish well and flowing well from top to bottom
Best flies are Red Tags, Caddis, klinkhammers, Adams and bead head Nymphs
All rivers are flowing well around Jindabyne and the upper mountains
Jindabyne has a number of rivers and there all fishing well up high and down low.

 
 
Overall every river up the mountains are at there best so get up there and enjoy

MOWAMBA RIVER
This river has been fishing well worth a day out the dry flies are going good from top to bottom
A few weeks ago they released a few fish at the weir so worth a try
 
Over all most rivers are fishing well now so it time to get out and about
 
 
EUCUMBENE LAKE FLY
The lake is still fishing well but pick your spots best areas are Buckenderra, Rushes, Seven Gates, Wainui Bay.
Fishing at the right time is the key early mornings and late afternoons into the night and if it’s a cloudy day, The bright days are putting the fish down so you will have to go deep.
Best Flies are, Mrs Simpsons, Woolly Buggers, Brown Nymphs, Midge Balls, Klinkhammers,
Remember pick your spots and you will do well fishing is fantastic
 
 
JINDABYNE LAKE FLY
This lake can be tricky at times but at the moment it’s fishing ok with some good browns coming out.
Best areas are Hatchery Bay , Poo Bay, Hay Shed Bay, Waste Point up to the snowy river mouth
Best flies are , Mrs Simpsons, Woolly Worms, Jindy Specials, Royal Wulffs, Klinkhammers, Humpy’s, Caddis
 
 
LAKE EUCUMBENE TROLLING
Euc is the place to be the trolling has been at it’s best with good results coming in all over the lake
Most minnow lures have been working well large and small and the Tassie Devils are going great.
Again the best reports have been coming from the bottom end off the lake at Buckenderra, Seven Gates, Rushes
The rainbows and browns are in good condition and fighting well
Most tassies are working well in the 13, 20, 26grams
 
LAKE JINDABYNE TROLLING
Is starting to fish well so worth ago but remember this is a small lake and there will be a lot of activity going on over Christmas this might put the fish down so though the day go deep
So best using the 26 gram tassie will help.



 
EUCUMBENE LAKE BAIT FISHING
Bait fishing is still going well with the rainbows and browns feeding well on the bottom and top of the lake
Worms are going great and the power bait is starting to pick up pretty well now.
Mudeye’s are still hard to get so if you are fishing at night time they are swimming around everywhere in the lake you should be able to get them there.
Over all the bait fishing is at it’s best
Best areas Buckenderra, Seven Gates, Rushes,
 
 
JINDABYNE LAKE BAIT FISHING
The lake is fishing good on power bait in most areas around the lake
Best areas are, Poo Bay, Waste point, Kalkite, Hatchery Bay
Worm fishing is still going well in most bays around Jiny again this lake will change with all the activity’s around Christmas so fish the deeper waters

carry your PFD & fishing licences as NSW Maritimes are out. Nsw fisheries inspectors are working the Snowy Mountains area during the peak holiday season. So remember if you do not have a current fishing licence and on your person you will be fined. So for the sake of 5 minutes do yourself a favour.

Maritime services are on the lakes, So make sure you water craft are up to par with current safety standards, if you are not sure contact Ph 13 12 56 or website:
