Lake Jindabyne fly:- The fishing has been steady with early morning starts providing good results. You will need to be very stealthy as they are in close and spook quite easly. As it warms up they have been moving out to deeper weed beds until late afternoon. Best flys are Woolly buggers Olive & Black, B/H Nymphs black, Fuzzy Wuzzys, Williams Goldfish.
Best areas are poo Bay, Dam Wall, Snowline Park,Hatchery Bay,East Jindabyne.
"The most productive area of late has been the Snowline Park"
Lake Eucumbene:
We have some great reports this week, Mark and the boys done some fly fishing and their biggest was a 7lb brown on beaded nymph. Trolling on Friday was good with Mark Patmore catching a great brown 71cm long and 3.176kg in weight it was caught on a rapala I have the photo attached and Grant Slater also caught a brown on a Tassie devil y48 weighed in at 1.72kg. We had plenty fishing with powerbait Lawrence and his friends caught 30 all rainbow the biggest 42cm and around 1kg the colours were orange and lemon lime twist we had others that were doing well with the sherbet burst our largest one was Enrico Dambrosio 1.65kg brown and 56cm caught in the evening. It was productive for the fellows spinning from the bank they were happy with their catch although not overly big in size we have had reports that some are a little poor in quality that will pick over the next month dont worry there are plenty of big ones still waiting to be caught.
The lake is at 42% and looks magic we look forward to your visit.
Best Fflys are Woolly Buggers Black & Olive, B/H Numphs Black & Olive Mrs Simpsons. Best areas are Buckenderra Seven Gates, Dam Wall, Anglers Reach.

Tantangara Reservoir : We have only had one report from the area.Be aware that access in a 2wd vehicle (and for that matter even a 4wd if it snows) can snow over. be difficult after snow and rain as it will ice over.
Callum and Greg from Canberra fished Tantangara by boat Saturday and Sunday 27 28 August , camped on lakeside. Dam level 25%?
Powerbait ( chartreuse) from shore - 7 Rainbow, all legal if not small up to 800g. Three fish dropped
Trolling - 1 off 1.2kg brown in the Murumbidgee arm, one other 1kg+ fish dropped
Fly 2 brown on red and black bead head nymph caught at 9 am-ish Sunday as fog lifted, a couple of turnaways and missed takes as well
Water Temp 4-7 degrees C
Many soaks with a good inflow of water
Boat launching moderately difficult as is the access road.
Not much firewood available near the water.
On the plus side
1. Lake is virtually snag free in comparison to Eucumbene. Total gear loss for weekend one fly!
2. No thistles on the verges

Eucumbene
Eucumbene trolling reports have been good with some nice rainbows showing up in many areas and a few browns too. The browns are not all in great condition but the rainbow quality have made up for this for many.
Middilingbank has been good this past week and the Collingwood bay area continues to fish well.
Most Lures are Working Well Tassies Y48.PP,36,Y36,81,88,y05 Minnows, Blades, Rapalas
Jindabyne
Jindabyne has produced few reports this week. There are still some good fish to be caught in Jindabyne but early starts are the key to catching them especially when the weather is super calm. Some nice fish taken trolling around the outside of the weed beds in many of the bays. Best areas to fish around the dam wall, Poo bay down below the jindabyne club, snowline caravanPark. things have been a little slow so your lure selection is important.Blade lures and stiffy lures would do well on the big browns as will the rainbow squidies lures Rapala X-Raps and Jointed minnows are working as well. Still good reports of good fish have been court around the snowy arm and Kalkite. Reports that east Jindabyne is fishing very well
Baitfishing
Eucumbene
Bait fishing has been fairly good with some nice reports of rainbows and Browns being taken on powerbait in Chunky cheese, Lime Twist, Rainbow Candy and Srcub worms.Buckenderra has been the best area to fish with good size brown taking worms and beleve it or not on the power bait as Angler Kurt Scheyka found out when he took his first 1.5Kg Brown powerbait.
Best locales to try in Eucumbene continue to be Seven Gates, Buckenderra, and the Dam wall.
Jindabyne
Jindabyne has produced a few fish too over the weekend with worms being the dominating bait. Winter is a great time for chasing rainbows on power bait and though it is cold, these fish will give many anglers a heap of fun and food over the next couple of months. Best areas are poo bay, dam wall, clay pitts, snowline park

Another successful weekend fishing with over 17 trout (mixture of brown and rainbows) caught and released. But this big boy was a keeper just over 6 pound caught near Buckenderra

G'day Blokes,
Spent last Friday and Saturday on the water chasing dorado. Had six hits for the two days taking two fish. Tagged and released them with some biologists who are undertaking a tagging program to follow movements and growth rates.
