FLYFISHING LAKE JINABYNE & EUCUMBENE

Jindabyne  Most off the fish around Jindabyne has been quiet with a few reports coming in.  At this time off year fishing over on the western side off the lake is good for polarising the banks

This is when you will see a few Brown along the banks so take your time and move slow an early start should get you good results.

If you like fishing the deeper waters try over on the east side off the lake around East Jindabyne this is the warmest part off the lake and the water is really clear and rocky the larger flies are the best to uses.

Woolly Buggers, Mrs Simpsons, Fuzzy’s, if you can get one of them good days  with the sun coming down on you East jindy is the spot to be!!

Eucumbene is doing ok down the bottom end off the lake with the larger flies Woolly Buggers, Fuzzys, but again you must do some walking to fine these fish get into a good warm bay where the fish are moving around more.

Best bays are Rushes, Seven gates, . Up the top end off the lake things have been quiet so my best bet is go to Rushes Bay get them big flies out there and move them nice and slow.

Intermediate lines have been working well and remember don’t go to long with your leader 7foot is all you need.

Tantangara reports have been ok with a few rainbows and Browns taking Woolly Buggers Olive, Brown, Black but Remember pick your days it can Change very quickly up there warm Clothing is a must.

LAKE TANGTANGRA TROLLING NO REPORTS

LAKE JINDABYNE TROLLING NO REPORTS

LAKE EUCUMBENE TROLLING

Lake Eucumbene reports have been ok around Buckenderra on the Tassie Devils Most people are using all different lines flat line, Lead line, and down rigging with good results out wide in the deeper water.

The lake is still dropping so take care when drive around to Close you will get into trouble expect to get bogged.

Again I’m not getting many reports from the top end off the lake so if anyone is up that way send us your reports but what I’m hearing things are very slow up that way.

Over at the Dam wall the trolling and spinning has been doing alright with the rainbows and a few browns taking again Tassie Devils, Blades, and Minnows.

Best Lures are Tassie Devils 44,50,32,31,59,Holo,108,100

Blades and Min Mins

this young boy is a legend he fished all day till he got this 4 1/2 lb brown on a tassie well done mate your dad would be very proud

BAIT FISHING LAKE EUCUMBENE/JINDABYNE  “NOT MUCH HAS CHANGE IN BOTH LAKES”
Most off the bait fishing has been good all reports are coming in from the bottom end off the lake and Bardi have been the stand out bait on the browns the rainbow have been on the power bait Salmon Eggs, Orange, sherburt burst, have been doing well.
Worms under a bubble float is working well and on the bottom no not the Scrubbie try the new
‘’CATCHALL CRAWLERS WORMS’’ to me they have been the best worms we have had for some time and the reports have been good.
LAKE JINDABYNE The fishing is good around kalkite, East jindy, again with the Bardi and worms on the browns. The power bait has been a little slow at times but as you know don’t leave it at home it always comes in handy for the rainbows.

Tommy Baxter and Kieran O'Shannassy a few month back fishing the Eucumbene. Tommy was back for a few month from Argentina now he calls home it's good to see you haven't lost your touch tommy. looking a little older   but it was great to see him again.
