LAKE EUCUMBENE FLY FISHING
the lake has started to drop but the fishing is still going well with the mud eyes starting to come on and the grass hoppers are everywhere the fish are starting to come in close.
Most fly fishers are doing well late in the afternoons right into the night with fuzzys, woolly buggers, Craig’s and Muddlers. As we all know this is the time the mud eyes are coming on and the fishing is at it’s best once the sun goes down.
The best time have been around (1 p.m., till 3) and 6pm till late. Remember when it gets dark the fuzzys and muddlers are going well.
Buckenderra, Mrs Simpsons, Black muddlers and Craig’s nightimes are going well
Seven gates, woolly worms, fuzzys, Bead Head Nymphs black, brown and Windlane Nymphs

Overall the fishing is still going well with the lake dropping and the weather cooling down and the mud eyes are starting to come on all looks good.
LAKE JINDABYNE FLY FISHING
fishing at Jindabyne has been doing a lot better this week with some good reports coming from the western side and over at Kalkite mostly rainbows and a few browns.
Best wet flies have been Mrs Simpsons, Bushy Horror
Best Dries Klink Hammers, Stimulators, Bead Head Nymphs
So if anyone has been fishing up that way a reports would be good thanks!!
TANTANGARA
It’s still fishing well from the dam wall to the river mouth mostly browns all on wet flies woolly buggers, Muddlers, Fuzzy’s, and Nymphs.
The rainbow are coming on but late at night around 10pm till early mornings

Most rivers are fishing really well but with all this heat thing have changed so pick your streams most off the Monaro stream are a running a little hot so thing are quite but up around the mountains things are going well, Eucumbene, Thredbo are fishing great with all sizes off fish rainbows and browns are all going great. Up at Island Bend the fishing is good with some good browns up higher and rainbows down close to the dam.
Do not forget about all the other small rivers up around Perisher all fishing well.
Best Dry’s are, Klinkhammers, Adams, Nymphs, Royal Wulff, Stimulators, Do not forget about the Eucumbene river up high thing are looking and fishing great.
COOMA MONARO
Most rivers are fishing well these rivers can test the best fly fishers out so if you think you are good enough get out there I’m sure you will be surprised how well they are fishing.

Remember the lake is warming up so go deep stay away form the shore line, If your have trouble getting down into the deeper waters we do have the tassie devils in 26 grams.

Trolling flies have been going well late in the afternoons Mrs Simpsons, Bushy Horror and Craig Nightime.
Overall the trolling has been good you just need to be out there at the right time
Peter from Braemar with a fishing report for the week
Well the action at Braemar has started to pick up with fish now actively seeking out the mudeyes which are on the move, no signs of a significant hatch just yet but it cant be too far away, especially considering the full moon is almost upon us, so we are expecting things to fire right up over the next few weeks.
Catches have still been relatively spasmodic with the occasional very good session, the cooler weather has obviously brought more favorable conditions for anglers and fish alike, trolling still remains a bit tough here but the bait fishing with mudeyes has picked up well and truly, Steve Reynoldson and Jimmi Willis have done well on their outings with Steve bagging out on a couple of occasions and Jimmi doing well from his boat, mornings and afternoons are equal pegging right now.
Phil Harvey also managed a couple of sessions during the week
where he bagged out using mudeyes with his best fish of 2230gms also taking out honors for fish of the week, Ben Tickle from Kalkite had an ordinary session late week using home tied flies but Brock Cameron once again had a good 2 days using woolly buggers and Craig's Nighttime combinations
getting amongst some great fish which were all released.
The Lake level is still receding but again has slowed down with not much change this past week, mudeyes are going to be the bait to useover the next month, most of the ponds and dams in this district have little or no water in them so you should consider calling in to see Michael at the Alpine Angler, or call ahead when making a trip up here. Braemar is once again offering deals on weekly cabins up until Easter, with stay a week and pay for only 5 days when mentioning this feature, the deal is available on all cabins and houses, call now.

BAIT FISHING EUCUMBENE
Bait fishing is still at it's best with good reports coming in from Braemer, Middling Bank, rushes, Anglers Reach, Old Adaminaby and Buckenderra.
Best bait is still mudeye's and worms.
Mudeye's are starting to move and the fish are starting to get active Overall the bait fishing is great.
