The guts of our reels are our unique Stop-a-Sub drag system. Most fish are lost at either the strike or the net. Our drag system has virtually no hesitation or stutter; so more fish are hooked and landed. It's as smooth as silk for a very good reason . . . to improve your chances of landing the fish of a lifetime.All Super Series reels are ported (ventilated) using a "rounded oblong" design that maintains total strength and rigidity of the metal. They're light, yet retain all of Abel's traditional strength and integrity.
Right- or Left-Hand Retrieve Abel Large Arbor Super Series reels are user-convertible from right- to left-hand retrieve by following the enclosed instructions.Let us know which hand you wind with and we'll make sure it's set up correctly when you pick it up.
