Exotic Fur Patches
Fur Patches:-Our fur is soft tanned therefore it is not greasy and is much cleaner to use. It is a well known fact that natural furs float much better than synthetics due to their oil content. Natural furs are ideal for making your own dubbing blends.
Badger Fur:- An excellent pale wing material for all types and sizes of flies. A coarse fur with plenty of guard hairs with black tips.
Bear Hair:- A long fine tapered hair. Great as a wing on wet flies, tails and Deceivers.
Beaver Fur:-Fine textured dubbing fur.The underfur is a pale grey that shades through to medium brown, with dark brown guard hairs.
Fox Fur:- Popular, long straight hair, ideal for dubbing fuzzy nymphs & mudeyes. Tails on wets, streamers & dry flies.Variable natural colour.
Fox Squirrel Fur:-This is the same squirrel fur that is used to make all of the popular squirrel dubbing blends.
Mink Fur:- Very fine brown fur, usefull as tailing on small nymphs & dry flies, wings on caddis and dubbing small nymphs.
Nutria Fur:- A medium length, soft, silky brown-grey hair that is popular for many fly patterns.The under fur is very lustrous, and easy to dub being ideal on nymphs.
Possum Fur:- One of the worlds best dubbings. Varied natural shades from cream to black. A crinkly fur that is easy to dub, creating bulky, bugggy nymph bodies, adult caddis patterns & mudeyes.
Red Squirrel Fur:- Fine textured fur that makes great nymphs. It has grey underfur with reddish brown tips. Banded guard hairs provide a barred effect on the fly.
Wallaby Fur:-Makes excellent hair wings on wet and dry flies, claws on yabbies as well as many Australian streamer patterns. Can also be cut to form two-coloured Zonkers.
Hare Fur:-Perfect for for wet flies & nymphs. Hare is longer than rabbit fur. Creamy white underfur, with dark brown & grey tips. Ties great buggy nymph patterns, and can be cut for Zonkers.
